Karen & John - Wedding - Fourth Presbyterian Church & Germania Place, Chicago, IL

Lincoln park chicago wedding photography 052.JPG

I travelled back to Chicago to shoot Karen & John’s lovely wedding & they were absolutely wonderful to work with. I had photographed the wedding of some friends’ of John’s & when he first reached out to me, he sent one of the most flattering emails I have received, stating, “You have a gift, and I may have chosen you as my wedding photographer even before I met my fiancé.” How could I not be excited to capture their wedding?

I hadn’t shot at Fourth Presbyterian Church & it is a gem. It’s such a beautiful Gothic revival church & the courtyard is gorgeous for photos, as well. Fun fact: it’s apparently the 2nd oldest building on Michigan avenue. We took post-ceremony portraits in Lincoln Park, which is always lovely.

As you can see from the photos, their reception at Germania Place was a blast.

Orli & Brandon - Wedding - Bridgeport Art Center, Chicago, IL

These two are so sweet, lovely & brave enough to take some outdoor portraits in the chilly February weather of Chicago. This wedding is also special because I photographed Orli's sister's wedding in 2014 & I'll be capturing their mother's wedding this spring. It's a wonderful feeling to be so appreciated & welcomed by the same family that they've entrusted me to document so many important moments.

Shot at Bridgeport Art Center.

2016 - A Look Back

It's safe to say 2016 has been a strange & eventful year in the world.  It has also been a year of major changes for me & my family.  In February, we made the big move from Chicago to Portland, Oregon.  It was certainly difficult leaving our family & friends in the Midwest, as well as the community of wedding professionals in Chicago.  That said, we are loving our new city & the Pacific Northwest, as a whole.  In the fall, we closed on a house in Portland, so we're definitely settling in here.

Professionally, I traveled for almost all of my weddings; shooting in: Puerto Rico, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Mexico, and here in Oregon.   As always, a huge thank you to all of my amazing clients that trusted me to capture their big day.

I'm looking forward to what next year has to in store. If you're looking for a wedding or elopement photographer, I'm available in the Pacific Northwest and worldwide.

I hope your 2017 is a great one.  Thanks for taking time to look back at some highlights from my 2016.
