2022 - A Look Back

On a professional level, I once again worked with the best clients. As always, a huge thank you to everyone that trusted me to capture their big day, portraits & other work. In addition to the gorgeous weddings I photographed, it was great to be back at Archery Summit documenting their harvest for the 2nd year in a row.

On a personal level, this year we got back to international travel for the first time in a few years. We basically book ended our year with trips to Mexico & Spain (with a one day layover in Amsterdam), respectively. These were our first international trips with our girls, with varying degrees of success, but overall both trips were great. So, they can now say they've been to 3 countries outside of the States.

We also traveled within the Pacific Northwest & took a late summer trip to see family, some of which we hadn't seen since early 2020, which was lovely… oh & i threw in a couple of photos of the playhouse I built for the girls, because it was a lot of work & turned out pretty cool (if I do say so myself).

Music has always played a huge role in my life. I've been a musician for far longer than I've been a photographer & I was better about carving out some time here & there to work on music. I've included a song I wrote in this blog post, in case you want to listen while scrolling. I also had the opportunity to see some of my favorite musicians play again in 2022.

The last photo of this was post taken with my phone. It’s of my dad & my youngest daughter. It’s personally one of the most important photos I took all year & a lesson that sometimes the best camera is the one you have with you.

I'm looking forward to the amazing weddings I have lined up for 2023. Hopefully, we get in some travels again.

Well, thanks for reading & here's to a great New Year for everyone!
